The Georgia 9th District is a wonderful, beautiful and thriving group of communities - all seeking a comfortable, successful and peaceful life. But we have needs, and problems, that need to be fulfilled and addressed, and they are NOT being met by our current "representative" in Congress. I want to learn more about those needs and what we, together, can do to meet them. Most importantly, I want to help and serve my neighbors and help the counties of District 9 be the best in all of Georgia.
I believe the role of a Congressman is to negotiate and compromise for the good of the entire population of their district, state, and country - not just those of their party, a president, or any minority element of any kind.
✅ My best, thorough effort 100% of the time
✅️ A champion of clean, single-issue bills & proposals
✅️ Real information instead of political lip-service, rhetoric and buzz words
✅️ My commitment to serve District 9, not 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
✅️ True devotion to and protection of the U.S. Constitution and the Oath of office
✅️ Negotiation instead of pure-partisan capitulation
✅ An answer to your question (even if it's "I don't know, but I will find out for you.")
❌️ No personal profiteering
❌️ No hiding from constituents
❌️ No shameless, lapdog fealty to anyone
❌️ No repetitive, lying ads
❌️ No question-dodging or pivoting to avoid answering
❌️ No rewriting history (i.e., lying) to fit a current narrative
❌️ No comments or claims I can't prove
❌️ No fake, pretentious platitudes
I am a 61-year-old, decorated Veteran Army Sergeant, husband, dad, grandfather, dog dad, IT manager and technical writer, teacher, and published author. My wife, Colette, and I moved permanently from Phoenix AZ to Blairsville in 2022 because we found our lifelong dream property and built our permanent home here.
I've been employed for 28 years with the same company, and my wife is a Human Resources professional. I have a Masters' degree in Communications, a Bachelors' in Journalism, An Associates in English, and was a print/radio journalist and investigative reporter before moving into technology. Our son-in-law is an active duty Navy NCO, stationed in San Diego with our daughter and two grandchildren. I'm not a millionaire, far from it. I don't own a business and I don't have any lucrative contracts with the federal government that I could write - or have written - laws to profit from. Not everyone in District 9 can say that.
People have asked what I'd say to other people in Congress who might find my style aggressive, abrasive or antagonistic. Very simply; regardless of your party, don't do anything criminal, unethical, hypocritical or self-serving, and we'll get along just fine.
I drive a truck; own guns; am involved in my community; and attend church. I'm in my third year as the Adjutant of the Blairsville American Legion. I read detective novels, political non-fiction, and mythology. I have written two books (one fiction, one non-fiction) and I'm a trivia nerd, a lifelong baseball and football fan, novice woodworker, and a decent cook.
The subject of this video is to be determined.

Help get the word out that District 9 Deserves Better and you can have a far better representative in Congress; someone who will listen to you, fight for you, and pursue your interests instead of their own. This steel button is 2.25" x 2.25" with a steel pin-hook back.
100% of the proceeds go toward me traveling to meet with you, in your county, in your hometowns, where you live, work and need help.
